This line of jewelry was created by using the by-products of the production process to form the decoration. The rings are modeled in a CAD package and then output using a 3d wax printer . The printer builds the rings in layers with a series of material stand offs’ which act as a support system which are dissolved leaving the original object intact. We incorporated these ordinarily removed supports, and thus the waste is used as ornament which gives the pieces a unique look while commenting on the relationship between privilege and that which is simply discarded. All rings are custom investment cast in 14k gold.
